Tonight was my last class in the Wilton Course One. I must say, I have absolutely ADORED taking the class and I am sad it's over. However, I AM taking Course Two next month so there will be more cakes to come!
Here are some pictures of my grand finale cake. This one is my best, if I say so myself. Of course, compared to rainbows and clowns, the bar wasn't too high to begin with...
This is a close up of my flowers. I thought I would never get it, but Sunday, while I was working on them, something in my head just clicked and I was able to do it. I was beyond excited:
And here is an updated picture of Bryan and me. I am post long work day and cake class and Bryan had his evening of daddy duty:
Unrelated, I am in the VERY EARLY stages of a new job prospect. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to jinx it, but if it works out, our financial situation will improve dramatically. If all of you could keep your fingers crossed, I would appreciate it. Once things progress (and I hope they do!!), I will post some details!

Wow! Your roses are great! That's one thing that I have never really gotten the hang of. Buttercream roses and I do NOT get along! I wish I had a better pic of that cake I made on Sunday but it was devoured so quickly, no time for pics!
Oh, fingers are now officially crossed for your new job prospect. Have a great day!
Wow, that cake looks really great. I want some! The roses and leaves came out very well. It really looks like a fun class.
Keeping my fingers AND toes crossed for your new job prospect. Best of luck.
You two look like a great couple btw. Cute picture of you guys.
What a great looking cake!!! It looks professional! So how many cakes have you decorated now? Do you eat all the cake? I wish I could have a piece right now. :-P
You and your hubby look adorable! And luck with your new job prospect!!!!
The cake is fantastic, Jennifer, and you and Bryan are the cutest couple I've seen in a long time. Love the blogging and the photos!
Great cake!!! I think you have a knack for this cake stuff...And sending good thoughts your way in the job department!
What a great cake! I'm most impressed.
Sending happy thoughts for the job prospect . . . but selfishly hoping that doesn't affect Caviar lunches on occasion!
I am so impressed! The cake looks fabulous! And you and your hubby make a darling couple!
