My sister and brother in law were in town a few weeks ago for a magic convention so we decided to have Jonathan's family birthday party at the same time. Laura LOVES to lavish Jonathan with super nice gifts. This year, it was a Ford F-150 Power Wheel. Needless to say, he LOVED it. It certainly doesn't hurt that my dad, one of Jonathan's idols, has a similar truck. It's a Chevy, but Jonathan does not know the difference. You can see Laura and Todd in the background of the second picture.
Jonathan is totally emulating me in this one. I wish I could blame this on someone else...
I said that I would make the Pablo cake again for the family party, but it was a huge pain in the you-know-what to make, so the bug cupcakes made a re-appearance. Since Jonathan did not see the first batch, he marveled at my creativity :)
Jonathan's cousin, Aiden, was more than happy to help him open presents:
And Todd was more than happy to put on a magic show. Podiatry is his trade by day, but his real passion is magic and he is GOOD!
Unless you ask my Mom's chihuahua, Abby:
Seriously, though, a good time was had by all!

Wow, that truck is awesome! And having a magician at a party is super cool, too! I bet the bug cupcakes were a hit!
Lydia has known how to operate a cell phone for way too long..so she busted Mark and I also...She would/still walks around with it holding it by her head and shoulder..geez I wonder who does that..She also will go up to computers and start typing and using the mouse...I should set her up a blog!
I want a Power Wheels truck! I love the shot where's he talking on the phone. I must confess, I do that, too...and then I scream at other drivers, "Put down your phone and drive!"
Jonathan is such a cutie, and he has a such a big smile!
That truck is the sort of thing I always wanted to get for Kory when he was younger ... what a lucky kid!
