Look What I Can Do!

I was paying some bills this evening when Jonathan wandered into the kitchen. From the living room, I heard him say "Oohhh, look Mommy!" I walked into the kitchen and saw this:

This is notable because, prior to today, he'd never opened the refrigerator on his own. It is not exactly something I'd encouraged; however, I was beginning to wonder when he would do it. After checking out all the contents, he decided to "hide" in there:

Maybe now he'll wander in a bit, eat more and actually break 23 pounds!

Aubree just started doing this too. She won't stop though and empties out the fridge when I am not looking. UGH.

Hopefully one day Jonathan will have a full course meal all prepared for his mom and dad. :-)

Kory NEVER did that. My friend Joanne summed it up best when she said "Kory eats to live. He just doesn't live to eat."

I think he's hovering at 65 pounds or so. Maybe 70 after the holidays, but I doubt it.

He does cook meals for the family though, which is pretty impressive for age 13. So there's hope you have a little gourmet on your hands!

I could just seem him going in there for a midnight snack!
Luckily Sophie isn't able to open it up yet b/c she isn't strong enough.

Jonathan is a smart little guy! You're going to have to get one of those refridgerator locks like I did:-). He's a cutie.

Ava and Jonathan are a lot alike. I am hoping Ava stays over 20 lbs just so she can stay forward facing in her car seat!

Remember the egg throwing blog. Just the tip of the iceberg :)

Wait til you start finding random food items in there. I found a box of mini chocolate chip cookies the other day. I guess Ethan felt they were better served cold. :) They can't reach the shelves they want yet though so I'm safe for now.

I keep the kids' juice boxes in the bottom drawer and fruit in the one right above it, so they can reach those if they get permission. Otherwise, they have to stay out of the fridge. Wait until he discovers the PANTRY!! Then you have to keep the crackers above their eye level...
